Mixed-Level Flow Yoga

This class is open to all levels, including beginners, and focuses on giving all students the opportunity to benefit from yoga. The Thornford classes were the first Yoga with Emma sessions in Dorset, set up in early 2017, so many students in these classes have been committed to yoga for some time, whilst others have joined more recently. The Thornford classes continue to be the most popular and the are the most over-subscribed; both sessions have long waiting lists and therefore run on a block booking system (five consecutive classes booked at a time) to ensure mats are not left empty.

The exercises in this class are a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga, which involve sequences of poses and moving with the breath. We work on developing strength and flexibility, so classes involve a physical challenge as well as a good stretch. The classes are good-humoured, fun and generally light-hearted… no Yoga with Emma classes are taken too seriously… The two classes taught are identical, with all students following the same programme of classes. This allows students to swap between classes on occasion if needed.

Thornford Village Hall is located on Pound Road, Thornford, DT9 6QB. It is a large, bright venue with a good-sized car park, great facilities and lovely views. This is also the venue we use for monthly Yoga with Emma workshops and other events.
